On October 19, 2023, at our invitation, Liz Ingram and Ida Wu, the heads of international education cooperation and enrollment management at the Crawford School of Public Policy at the Australian National University (hereafter called ANU), visited the College of Management and Economics (hereafter called CoME) and discussed international joint cultivation and cooperative education projects with professor Luo Qing, director of the International Development Center of CoME, Tianjin University (hereafter called TJU).
The representative of CoME went to Australia for on-site investigation and research in August 2023, and reached a consensus with ANU on conducting degree joint cultivation and applying for Chinese-foreign cooperative education projects. This time, the two sides have conducted further in-depth discussions on the possibility of Chinese-foreign cooperative education, the declaration plan to the Ministry of Education, the master's degree program for undergraduate, the professional direction and specific cooperation models of the master's dual degree program, and focused on master's programs such as climate change, environmental management and development as the first batch of declarations. In the future, the cultivation plans will be exchanged and further feasibility studies for cooperation will be conducted by both universities.
ANU was founded in 1946 and is a public research-oriented comprehensive university located in the Australian capital, Canberra. ANU ranks among the world's leading universities in various academic fields, firmly ranking in the top 50 globally. As a world-class research university, it has produced six Nobel winners and ranked 34th in the 2024 QS university rankings.
