The Opening Demonstration Meeting of the Tianjin Graduate Teaching Reform Projects of CoME was Successfully Held

On April 23rd, the Opening Demonstration Meeting of the 2023 Municipal-level Graduate Teaching Reform Projects of the College of Management and Economics (hereafter called CoME) was held in classroom C504 of Building 25, with a total of four projects approved to carry out the opening work. The evaluation expert group consisted of five experts, including Lin Run-hui, vice dean of the Business School of Nankai University, Li Xiang-qian, dean of the School of Finance of Tianjin University of Finance and Economics, and professors Du Gang, Zhao Dao-zhi, and Zhang Shui-bo from the CoME of Tianjin University (hereafter called TJU). Associate dean Yang Bao-chen presided over the meeting, and Zhao Hong-xing from the Graduate School attended the meeting.

On behalf of the college, Yang Bao-chen, the deputy director of the CoME, welcomed and thanked all the experts and teachers for their arrival. He introduced the basic situation of the graduate education reform projects of CoME, emphasized the importance of project opening, and hoped that experts would provide strict guidance to ensure the smooth completion of research and the effectiveness of project construction.

Mao Zhao-fang, Li Bo, Guo Jun-peng, Zhang Hui-ying, as four project leaders, gave comprehensive reports on the significance and content of project research, team division of labor, schedule arrangement, expected results, and other aspects. Each project focuses on the practical issues in graduate education, innovating training models from the perspectives of interdisciplinary integration, curriculum system reform, and the cultivation of high-level innovative talents. Combining emerging fields such as artificial intelligence, the projects delve into the integration of case studies and teaching practices to optimize the graduate training system. The division of labor within each project team is implemented layer by layer, with clear and precise reform ideas, and comprehensive and systematic research content.

The expert evaluation panel fully affirmed the preliminary preparation work of each project and offered opinions and suggestions on the research content of each teaching reform project as well as specific issues that were present. The experts suggested that project reforms should focus on key research areas, refine research objectives, and develop projects guided by needs. They also recommended further refining methodological approaches to enhance the impact and applicability of research outcomes, and to solidly carry out the next steps of the research work.


The meeting holds significant importance in exploring new pathways for the reform of graduate education and teaching, laying a crucial foundation for the cultivation of achievements in graduate teaching. During the project research phase, CoME will organize project teams meticulously according to construction requirements, ensuring that all projects are completed to high standards and achieve innovative and applicable research results. This will, in turn, facilitate CoME in nurturing more high-level teaching outcomes, empowering high-quality development in graduate talent cultivation.
