Good News| Logistics Engineering Major Was Selected as One of The First Batch of National Pilot Majors in The Construction of New Liberal Arts of Logistics Management and Engineering!

  On March 31st, the first batch of pilot majors in the construction of new liberal arts of logistics management and engineering was announced by the National Advisory Committee on Logistics Management and Engineering to Majors in Higher Education under The Ministry of Education. Logistics Engineering of the College of Management and Economics (COME) of Tianjin University (TJU) was selected to be one of the first 49 majors, and is also one of the two majors from Tianjin.

  The construction of new liberal arts is a new strategy put forward by the state to cultivate applied and compound liberal arts talents to meet the requirements of the new era. Being successfully selected is not only an affirmation of the discipline construction of Logistics Engineering of TJU, but also brings higher requirements for the future construction and development.

  Logistics Engineering of COME was founded in 2004, which is the first discipline team to study enterprise logistics in China. After nearly 17 years of development, Logistics Engineering has gradually grown into a brand major recognized by domestic and international academics, ranking first in the field of logistics in China for consecutive years.

  To implement the new arts construction objective in the future, Logistics Engineering will focus on six research areas: the theory research and practice of the major development, model innovation and practice, the practice of talent cultivation reform, research on key work areas, practice of faculty team construction reform and characteristic culture integration reform. Logistics Engineering will push forward the in-depth construction and reform of a series of disciplines, focus on the three important starting points of specialty optimization, curriculum quality improvement and model innovation, and continue to provide the country with broad-based, specialized senior talents with international vision for the area of intelligent supply chain and operation management .
