On September 15 and 16, the first director meeting of the E20 Alliance of China Business Schools was held in Hefei city, Anhui Province. Fourteen universities all enlisted in the nation’s "Double First-Class" initiative attended the meeting.
The E20 Alliance is called Executive Education of China Elite Alliance. It aims to promote the development of China's executive education industry, cultivate Chinese entrepreneurs, and open a new era of China's executive education.
Adhering to the core value of openness, cooperation, win-win, unity of knowledge and practice, the Alliance is geared to the needs of national development and oriented towards the world's leading edge of science and technology, the national major industrial needs and the main battlefield of economy. The Alliance focuses on creating differentiated services with characteristics, and builds the exchange platform for executive education of the Double First-Class universities in China to realize the integration of resources, to lead the development of China's executive education and to set a new benchmark for the industry.
Professor Yu Yu-gang, Executive Dean of The School of Management, Dean of the Institute of International Finance and doctoral supervisor of the University of Science and Technology of China, delivered an opening speech. Yu said that the establishment of E20 Alliance set up a new platform for Chinese entrepreneurs to learn new knowledge, communicate with peers, inspire each other and develop together. He hoped all members of the Alliance would work together to serve social and economic development.
The meeting elected members of the service team of China E20 Alliance. Wang Pei, Executive Director of Senior Executive Education Center of Tianjin University’s College of Management and Economics (CoME) served as Deputy Executive Secretary General.
The meeting decided to hold the first Team Training Camp of the Executive Education Center in Cheung Kong Business School in November. The first E20 Summit Forum will be hosted by China Europe International Business School in 2021, and the second and third Summit Forum will be hosted by Cheung Kong Business School and School of Management of Xiamen University in 2022 and 2023, respectively.
