Anti-Poverty:The CoME Expert Group Jointly Created "Dangchang Mode"

  The year 2020 will be the year to complete the building of a moderately prosperous society in all respects and the decisive year to battle against poverty. Due to the impact of COVID-19, the task of poverty alleviation is even heavier. To promote the targeted poverty alleviation work of Tianjin University (TJU), Professor Ma Shou-feng, CPC Party Chief of the College of Management and Economics (CoME), led an expert group to investigate in Dangchang from June 1st to 4th, taking industrial and education poverty alleviation as the starting point to inject new impetus into poverty alleviation.

  Industrial Poverty Alleviation

  The expert group investigated the poverty alleviation workshop of TJU and discussed the key issues such as improving the construction of the workshop, highlighting innovating management mode, and creating featured products. The group understood the problems faced by local enterprises in product sales, focused on "How to improve the Dangchang mode" and " Enterprise supply chain in the practice of poverty alleviation industry". Besides, they surveyed the e-commerce platform to investigate the operating ability, network marketing, and sales effect of e-commerce enterprises. The expert group carried a meeting with the government and business representative of Dangchang County. The two sides had an in-depth exchange of views on issues of the current difficulties in the development of e-commerce, bacterial beekeeping industry, and tourism company. Professor Zhang Hui-ying, Chen Wei-dong, Associate Professor Li Ling, Zheng Chun-dong, and Bai Yan-zhuang had all put forward valuable suggestions to local enterprises.

  Education Poverty Alleviation

  Education is the key to poverty alleviation, and the postgraduate teaching corps of TJU has played an important role. The CoME expert group went to Dazhai, Dangchang Nine-year School and the No.1 Middle School of Dangchang County to visit Yuan Chao-lun and Li Ya-qiong, members of postgraduate teaching corps of TJU. Ma Shou-feng affirmed the work of the two students and put forward three expectations. The first one is to conclude the experience to help other teaching corps members to adapt to the work as soon as possible. The second is to excellently complete the teaching task for the rest of the volunteer work. The third is to be good liaisons to build the bridge between the two schools.

  CoME will enhance the sense of responsibility, complete the Dangchang fixed-point poverty alleviation study, and contribute to poverty alleviation and the building of a moderately prosperous society in all respects.
