Promoting the Internationalization of "New Business"-- College of Management and Economics, Tianjin University and School of International Education, Tianjin University Carry Out Discussion

　　On the morning of March 13, Qiang Li, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of International Education of Tianjin University, Dean Zhi-hua Chen, Vice Deans Xiu-ping Du and Xiao-rui Yang visited the CoME for discussion. Dean of the CoME Bao-feng Huo, Vice Dean Zhao-fang Mao , Deputy CPC Party Chief Geng Li attended the discussion.

　　Zhi-hua Chen briefly introduced the International Education College enrollment scale, the development of curriculum of the International Education College and the construction of the Confucius Institute, and talked about remarkable achievements in the development of the Confucius Institute at the University of Nice in France in recent years, hoping to continue to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with CoME and strive to build a Confucius Institute with the characteristic of CoME in the future.

　　Bao-feng Huo welcomed the visit and gave a brief introduction to the international strategic deployment of CoME and the international certification of the college. He expressed the hope that the two sides could reach more consensus on the recruitment and training of international students.

　　The meeting focused on three topics: "Confucius Institute Council of the University of Nice in France", "recruitment and cultivation of international students of Tianjin University" and "development dilemma and future plan of education internationalization of Tianjin University under the background of national strategy", and reached cooperation intention for some specific work. At the meeting, Bao-feng Huo said that the internationalization of "New Business" should be future-oriented and closely combined with the internationalization strategy of Tianjin University and the construction of "Double First-class". The college will focus on improving the quality of international students training and put forward a new idea of establishing an international management college.

　　It is reported that on the occasion of the 40th Anniversary of the Resumption of Management Education in Tianjin University, 29 universities across China have proposed the "New Business · TJU Initiative". The future development of "New Business" education needs to carry new missions, expand new logic, and put new actions into practice. Business educators in the new era should strengthen the mission-driven, break educational boundaries, integrate educational resources, and create educational ecology, so as to contribute to the healthy development of business education and social progress in China.

　　In the future, the CoME will adhere to the mission of "We develop leaders with fact-based thinking, an innovative spirit, and social responsibility awareness through the creation, application, dissemination, and integration of management, economics, and engineering knowledge.", actively expand new forms of college cooperation, and help business education march towards a new journey.
