Program Introduction

College of Management and Economics (originally College of Management) in Tianjin University is the one of the earliest units to establish management discipline and carry out the postgraduate program of management since the introduction of reform and opening up, and is also the unit of management science and engineering supervisory committee of Ministry of Education. For more than three decades, College of Management and Economics, responding the national economic construction and social development, has always cultivated management and economy talents with high social responsibility, global prospective, and innovation, committed to build the postgraduate education brand of management and economics with the innovation and excellent learning style as its core competitiveness by virtue of long history and deep cultural deposits of Tianjin University.

College of Management and Economics has the national first-class key discipline of “management science and engineering” and first-class discipline master program of applied economics. As one of the first batch approved by Ministry of Education to launch MBA, EMBA and MPA, it also carries out the cultivation of applied-oriented engineering master in industrial engineering, logistics engineering, program management, finance, insurance, applied statistics, asset evaluation, accounting and other fields. College of Management and Economics has strong faculty force with international vision, and high-level scientific research and teaching ability. It has 191 teaching and administrative staffs including 156 full-time teachers (including 56 doctor tutors and 91 master tutors). Among them, teachers with doctor degree are 133, which account for 82.5%, and 80% of the teachers have the title of senior professional position. College of Management and Economics also invites a group of internationally and national famous scholars and entrepreneurs as part-time professors, who often give special lectures and work as the tutors of postgraduates.
