The 2019 “CoME Model” Awards Ceremony Was Successfully Held!

　　On November 29, initiated by the Party Committee of CoME of Tianjin University (TJU), presented by Student Affairs Office, Trade Union Office, Graduate Union and Student Union, the 2019 “CoME Model” Awards Ceremony was successfully held in Weijin Road Campus of TJU.

　　Jing-yu Xie, alumni of Class of 2003 and the Deputy Secretary of Committee for Discipline Inspection of Tianjin Securities Regulatory Commission, Ding-Yuan, alumni of Class of 2003 and Manager of Puan Branch of SPD BANK, Yong-jun He, MBA alumni of Class of 2007 and Director of Tianjin Technology and Finance Center as well as Chairman of Tianjin Ruiyijinrong Enterprise Management Consulting Co., Ltd. Yuan-ming Tong, MBA alumni of Class of 2011 and Deputy General Manager of Baoye Group, Wei-hua Xiong, Deputy General Manager of Human Resources Department of Tianjin Precious Metals Exchange, Hong-wen Yu, Deputy General Manager of Human Resources Department of China Construction Sixth Engineering Division Co., Ltd, they are also the external mentor of CoME, Lin Chen, MBA alumni of Class of 2010 and Manager of Tianjin Jingchuangyuan Decoration Engineering co. LTD, Shou-feng Ma, CPC Party Chief of CoME, Bao-feng Huo, Dean of CoME, Ting Yuan and Geng Li, Deputy CPC Party Chief, Bao-chen Yang, Nan Feng and Yu Liu, Deputy Dean of CoME attended the ceremony.

　　CoME has awarded students who has outstanding performance, achievements and influence with the honorary title of “CoME Model” since 2017. And recognition for teaching and administrative staff was supplemented in 2019.

　　The ceremony opened with the historical drama “CoME Model” performed by undergraduate students of Class of 2018. The drama began from the perspective of Gu Pei-liang, Deputy Dean of College of Management of TJU and reviewed the touching story of Liu bao, the first Dean of College of Management of TJU.

　　Then the award ceremony officially began，Ma Shou-Feng and Huo Bao-feng presented awards to He Zhen, winner of the Special Contribution Award for Professional Degree Education, Liu Da-yong, winner of the Annual Teaching Award, Feng Hai-yang, winner of the Annual Science Award, Li Ying, winner of the Annual Contribution Award, and Liu Yan, winner of the Academic Newcomer Award.

　　He Zhen mentioned in his speech that he had led his professional degree team through a struggle period, the good news is that TJU finally became the first institution in China to apply and pass for MBA, EMBA and MPA programs at the same time with the joint efforts of the team.

　　Liu Da-yong thanked CoME for encouraging young faculty to devote themselves in teaching and thanked senior faculty of CoME for the guidance and help, he said that he would learn from the senior faculty to be a qualified one.

　　Feng Hai-yang said, “My identity changed from a student to a teacher of CoME, but the dedication and love for the academic and the pursuit of scientific research remains the same.” Feng also expressed his gratitude to his tutor Professor Li Min-qiang. “Every progress I’ve made came from the cultivation of CoME and the careful guidance of my tutor. He guided me to think seriously about my academic career, learn to avoid arrogance and impetuousness and keep my eyes on the top journals. I was impressed by his scholarly charm”

　　Li Ying reviewed her work experience at CoME. She was always adhering to the principle of “work with strength, live with temperature” to meet the needs of every teacher.

　　Taking his own experience as an example, Liu Yan impressed on the students, presenting that they must make their initial intention of studying for a doctor's degree clear, accurately evaluate their own level, and never give up once they made the choice.

　　Chen Lin and Yuan Ting jointly presented the Chinese zodiac porcelain souvenir for the “CoME Model”. The souvenir donated by Chen Lin had a profound meaning. It conveyed not only his best wishes to the students, but also the profound friendship of the CoMEers.

　　Huo Bao-feng made a concluding speech at the end of the ceremony. He expressed his warm congratulations to the teachers and students and the proud of their achievements. Finally, he encouraged the students to learn and take positive energy from the models to contribute to the development of CoME, TJU, China and even the world!

　　CoME has been committed to cultivating comprehensive talents with patriotism, global vision, innovative spirit and practical ability. In the critical period of CoME's exploration of “New Business”, the “CoME Model” of 2019 highly demonstrates CoME teachers and students’ struggling spirit and strong will in pursuit of excellence. In the future, the teachers and students will continue to forge ahead, practice the mission of “Developing leaders with fact-based thinking, an innovative spirit, and social responsibility awareness through the creation, application, dissemination, and integration of management, economics, and engineering knowledge.” And injecting strong impetus into the construction of “Double First-Class” of TJU.
