College of Management and Economics Signed the Strategic Cooperation Agreement with Gazprom and NOMIC

　　On September 20th, CoME (College of Management and Economics) signed the strategic cooperation agreement with Gazprom and NOMIC. Based on the "Energy Engineering Management Research Center" of CoME, the three parties would conduct in-depth cooperation on “Strategies for effective development and utilization of resources in the Arctic Circle”, “Deep-water engineering technology in the Arctic and Far East” and “Energy management, environmental protection and sustainable energy development in the polar region”.

　　Vsevolod Cherpanov, Director of Gazprom and General Manager of Gazprom Geologorazvedka, Xue-bo Pan, Executive Director of NOMIC, Xiao-jian Jin, former President and Chairman of Offshore Oil Engineering Co. LTD, Bao-feng Huo, Dean of CoME, Director Jun-ying Liu and Deputy Director Jin-yue Zhang of Engineering Management Department attended the signing ceremony.

　　Bao-feng Huo addressed the guests and introduced the development of CoME. Jun-ying Liu and Jin-yue Zhang introduced the academic construction and research platform of Engineering Management major. Xiao-jian Jin introduced the main research direction and key work of "Energy Engineering Management Research Center". Jin said that the development of Ocean Oil and Gas Development Engineering closely related to industry-university- research cooperation, this kind of cooperation is not only reflected in the field of professional and technical, but also embodied in the enterprise operation and management innovation; it’s not only Marine Engineering technology but also "soft science" of management innovation should be strengthened. The strategic cooperation can be carried out in these areas at a deeper level of innovation and research.

　　Vsevolod Cherpanov said that the glorious history of TJU and CoME had left him with an extremely deep impression. He was deeply appreciative of the school's spirit of seeking truth from facts, rigorous scholarship and industry-university- research cooperation, and he was willing to promote industry-university- research cooperation between CoME and NOMIC in the project of "Energy Engineering Management Research Center". Through the long-term strategic partnership, we will make joint use of our own resources for exchanges and cooperation, and contribute to the joint promotion of energy supply and management research of "Ice Silk".

　　The management, resource and talent advantages of CoME, Gazprom and NOMIC will be given full play in this cooperation to promote the transformation of research results and industry-university-research cooperation, the development of energy services and related industries. Moreover, it will build a practical platform for industry-university- research cooperation.
