Celebrated Management Scientists Gathered at TJU to Discuss the Development Strategy of China's "14th Five-year Plan" for Management Science

　　From the current trade war and the confrontation in the high-tech between China and the United States as well as the dramatic changes in the international political and economic pattern, we feel the fact that the level of basic science represents the future of the nation. At the end of the second decade of the 21st century, the National Natural Science Foundation of China (hereinafter refer to as NSFC) carried out the National Natural Science Fund of "14th Five-year Plan" strategy research and selection of priority areas work of national strategic significance, which will guide the development direction of Management Science field in China in the next five to ten years and even a longer period.

　　Entrusted by the Department of Management Sciences of NSFC, CoME held the first round of the"14th Five-year Plan" Development Strategy Expert Consultation Meeting in Tianjin University (hereinafter refer to as TJU) on May 24th to 25th. Six university Presidents, distinguished Professors of Yangtze River Scholar, 25 famous experts and scholars in the field of Management Science in China which includes the gainer of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, and all the department leaders from the Department of Management Sciences of NSFC as experts attended the meeting, they conducted in-depth analysis and wisdom collision on the major scientific mission and strategic direction of Management Science of China in the future. The results of the conference will help to provide important guidance and foresight for the future development of Management Science research in China.

　　Professor Jia-jun Li, CPC Party Chief of TJU, delivered a welcome speech on behalf of the school. Professor Qi-di Wu, Director of the Department of Management Sciences of NSFC, delivered a speech on behalf of CoME. And Academician Zeng-qian Hou, Deputy Director of the NSFC, delivered an important speech. Researcher Lie-xun Yang, Deputy Director of the Department of Management Sciences of NSFC, made a detailed arrangement of the "14th Five-year Plan" development strategy research of CoME. Wei Zhang, Chair Professor of TJU, host the meeting.
