On December 8th, the 18th China MBA Development Forum was held in South China University of Technology (SCUT) with the theme of “Creating Capabilities through Science and Taking on Missions”. Representatives of the 17th presidium of the MBA Federation of Tianjin University (TJU) participated in the forum led by Qian Liu, the teacher of Student Affairs Office of MBA, College of Management and Economics (CoME). The forum is directed by the National Graduate Education Steering Committee for Business Administration Degrees, hosted by China Committee of MBA Development Forum and School of Business Administration of SCUT, and held by the MBA Education Center of SCUT. Representatives of teachers and students from more than 200 schools in China attended the forum.
It is proud that the MBA project of TJU has won the following four awards in this forum:
1. Dongsheng Liu, a 2000-year MBA alumnus of TJU and president of Xunchuang Electronics, was awarded “Ten Elite Persons for China's MBA Mission in 2018”;
2. The first “China MBA International Art Festival” held by TJU MBA Federation was awarded “Top Ten Campus Classic Activities of China MBA Business School in 2018”;
3. Likai Dong, MBA postgraduate of TJU, was awarded “New Star of Chinese MBA Alumni Venture Enterprise 2018”;
4. Jianchao Wang and Yu Zhang, MBA postgraduates of TJU, were awarded “Chinese MBA Rookie 100”.
It is reported that the China MBA Development Forum, launched in the spring of 2000 at Tsinghua University, has been held for 18 consecutive sessions since the first forum was successfully held at Peking University in June of the same year. Directed by the National Graduate Education Steering Committee for Business Administration Degrees, the forum is the largest and most influential annual event of MBA groups in China. The forum invites many industry elites to share high-quality researches, and it is a platform that is highly efficient and authoritative in MBA groups in China, which was created by hundreds of thousands of China MBA people nationwide.
With the mission of cultivating managerial elites with ability to think systematically, solid analytical ability and innovative spirit, the MBA project of Tianjin University devotes itself to cultivating innovative managerial talents and future leaders with international vision based on systematic and innovative curriculum and rich enterprise practice. In the first national professional degree evaluation by the Ministry of Education, the result of MBA project of TJU is “A”.
Based on Tianjin, facing the country and integrating into the world, the MBA project of TJU has formed extensive influence in Tianjin and even the whole country. It has trained a large number of outstanding alumnus, mainly employed in high-end manufacturing, financial investment, engineering construction and public undertakings, and has made important contributions to the promotion of social and economic innovation and development. The MBA project has won the recognition of the society as a result of its own characteristics, and will steadily move towards the goal of building a first-class MBA project with Chinese characteristics in the future.
