Prof. He Zhen was Awarded as IAQ Academician

　　Recently, the chairman of International Academy for Quality (IAQ), JanakMeht sent a congratulation letter to Professor He Zhen to congratulate his election as an Academician of IAQ. IAQ is the highest international academic organization in the field of quality management; which means that being awarded as an academician of IAQ is the highest academic honor in this field.

　　Located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, IAQ was co-sponsored by several well-known academic organizations in quality management from United States, Japan and Europe in 1966. The sponsors include famous quality management gurus such as Ishikawa Kaoru and Armand Vallin Feigenbaum. The late well-known expert of quality management, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Mr. Liu Yuanzhang serves as the long-term academician in IAQ.

　　IAQ does not accept individual applications, to select a new academician, candidates must be nominated by existing academicians’ recommendation and go through a series of rigorous academic qualification’s audit processes. Currently, IAQ selects less than 100 academicians from 45 countries/regions,including honorary academicians and emeritus.

　　He Zhen, professor and vice dean of College of Management and Economics, Tianjin University, who is winner of National Outstanding Youth Fund as well; he owns the special government allowances of experts and being awarded as National Engineering Talents Selected Candidates and National Outstanding Young-middle-aged Experts Contributions Makers. He is the fifth expert from mainland China who obtained the IAQ academician.
