On Apr. 24th, Dean of CoME, Prof. Zhang Wei visited the University of California, Berkeley, to communicate with Oliver E. Williamson, who is the committee member of International Advisory Board of Management and Economics (IABME), Tianjin University and 2009 Nobel Laureate in Economic Sciences.
IABME is a high-caliber advisory body, composed of globally-known entrepreneurs, political leaders, scholars in management and economics, and other social elites. Its mission is to provide strategic guidance and outreach resources for the long-term development of management and economics disciplines of Tianjin University. It also serves as a world-wide bridge for the communication between CoME, academia and industry.
Oliver E. Williamson names the “New Institutional Economics”. From 1998, he serves as the Edgar F. Kaiser Professor Emeritus of Business, Professor Emeritus of Economics and Law, UC Berkeley. He was used to be the fellow of American Academy of Political and Social Science, member of National Academy of Sciences, American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and Econometrics Society. He is also one of the 2009 Nobel Laureates in Economic Sciences.
