Professional Degree Station of MEM was Highly Praised in the Specific Assessments

　　On November 3, 2015, the National Education Steering Committee of Professional Degree in Master of Engineering Management (MEM) assessment experts visited CoME and carried out on-site assessment.

　　In accordance with the assessment procedures, standards and requirements of specialized assessment on professional-degree station, the entire assessment process is rigorous, scientific and orderly, which make the MEM program of Tianjin University display in front of the experts from Education Steering Committee, after the stringent evaluation criteria test, the MEM program obtained fully affirmation and highly praise from the group of experts.

　　Focus on training for high-end talents in the field of domestic and international engineering and construction of modern manufacturing, being able to master, apply and innovate modern project management knowledge; with business acumen and strong leadership skills; with good political and ideological quality and professional ethics, able to solve complex technical problems, deal with complex organizational transformation.

　　Under the guiding ideology of "Promoting Construction with Estimation", CoME seriously conducted a comprehensive summary of MEM program. This one-day assessment includes several parts, such as specific assessment meeting, faculty seminar, student seminar and review and assessment of materials feedback. Led by the deputy director of MEM Education Steering Committee, the former party secretary of Northwestern Polytechnic University Professor Ye Jinfu, the members of this assessment includes Professor Wei Yiming, Dean of College of Management and Economics, Beijing Institute of Technology, Professor Li Kai, Dean of College of Business Administration, Northeastern University and Professor Yang Jianjun, Associate Dean of College of Mechanical Engineering and Automation, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. The Vice President of Tianjin University Shu Gequn gave his welcoming remarks at the assessment meeting, Dean of CoME, Zhang Wei introduced the history of CoME, Director of MEM Program Sun Hui conducted the program report, other attendants include Chen Jinlong, the Director of Cultivation Office of Graduate School, Tianjin University, Li Lianzhong, party secretary of CoME, and associate Dean of CoME and related personnel.

　　Experts of this assessment fully affirmed the MEM program from the following aspects, like target of program, market positioning, cultivation plan, cultivation process, and sustained development plan, in particular, they praised the four unique aspects of MEM program of Tianjin University, the combination of education in international engineering management projects and personnel training for international engineering corporation, docking with vocational qualifications for industry, professional monographs, textbooks and teaching cases, comprehensive system of talent training, which set a good example and played an exemplary role for other domestic professional graduate degrees in project management.
